Robin Pitoscia, Owner & Groomer
My passion for animals goes back for as long as I can remember. From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals when I “grew up”. I have in the past, or currently own, a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, rats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, cavies, several small parrot species, turtles, anoles, and a ball python (just to name a few).
While studying Animal Sciences at Truman State University in Missouri I took my first grooming apprentice job in 2007, and found my career! Since then I have honed my skills in both private and corporate salons. I have taken classes in the safe handling and management of animals, including the AKC S.A.F.E. Certification program, Fear Free Certification program and Veterinary Technician courses at Duluth Business Univeristy. When not working I enjoy spending time with my family, including my pets. I currently own Chinese Crested dogs who all participate in a variety of activities with me, including AKC dog shows, obedience training and many sports. In fact, my girl, Pumpkin (pictured here) is the “original Diva” of Diva Dog Grooming.
I am on the Board of Directors for the Duluth Kennel Club, a chairperson with the American Chinese Crested Club, and a supporter of several local, regional, and national pet rescue organizations, including PJ's Rescue, who we share a building with.
